Little Angel Black Glutinous Rice, which is also called sticky black rice, has its own place in the traditional Thai cooking and other Asian cuisines. The glutinous black rice is widely used in Asian sweet and savoury dishes. It helps slow down digestion and lower insulin levels.
1. Put 2 cups of Black Glutinous Rice in a large bowl. Add 6 cups of cold water. Allow it to soak for at least 8 to 24 hours
For faster preparations time, soak in hot water for 3 hours.
2. Drain the rice and put it in a steamer. Cook for 25 minutes or till the rice becomes tender
3. After the cooking process, you will have 4½ cups of delicious Black Glutinous Rice. Put the cooked rice in a bamboo basket or a bowl covered with cloth to keep it warm and prevent it from drying out.
Store in a cool dry place.
